Day two in Panajachel:
Guess Rob and I are going to be doing more of this blog than Josh😉
I slept pretty good dispite the noise: non stop dogs barking, firecrackers going off, cats meowing...), Rob slept badly 😑. Lydia woke up ready for a new day. We headed out around 11 am without having any breakfast, we were going to go again to the restaurant the brother owns. Rob took us on a scenic route. We found the brothers doing cart witnessing. Enjoyed meeting them. Went on our way looking for the same restaurant we ate at yesterday (this should be easy). We walked, and walked, and... nope we're too far. Turn around walk, walk. Repeat. Repeat. We are now back at the cart stand. Ooh no they are closed on Thursdays! So the brothers recommend Mr. Jon's. By this time Josh and Lydia (OK and Mom) are famished (I better lose some weight!). There is a gentleman outside and Rob has a friendly chat and we talk with his wife and brother in-law, they're from Canada. They help us when they leave by asking the waitress if they take dollars. They leave, a few minutes later the man walks back in and asks if we're with an organization. We said we're Jehovah's Witnesses. Ha, so are we, he says! They sat down and chatted with us, they're in Antigua in the English congregation for 4 months and go back to Canada in the Spanish congregation. What a small world in Jehovah's organization.
Here's some more pictures, Buenos noches😎
